Any ideas for wedding centerpieces using white feathers?
Any ideas for wedding centerpieces using white feathers?
I have already bought hurricane shaped vases. I want to use white and possibly black feathers in my centerpieces. It’s a new years eve wedding. The colors are black, white and silver. Any ideas?

check out these…. hurricanes would be a little large at the top for feathers to look “together” so you will prob have to return those, or bind the feathers somehow at the top… Perhaps fill the bottom of the vases with crystals or something that looks crystalline?
Black feathers won’t look as delicate or ethereal… I would keep the feathers white and use the black on the table in other places….
Wow, have you thought of using colored stones in the vase or maybe balls like Christmas but not. Then maybe using just black or white spray painted skewer sticks to accent…I think that is a modern look. You can also use wall paper cut into place mats…I saw that on a show…it looked very nice. They found a roll with their color scheme and used it for place mats and other decorations. Even place cards. I think this site might give you some ideas….anything is possible with some time and imagination. Congratulations btw!

That sounds fun! I found this picture from a birthday party. You could do something similar. You could have white feathers and then to save money, you could fill the bead part in with black and silver mardi gras beaded necklaces.

Another idea is to have a battery operated white X-Mas lights in the bottom with the black and white feathers with swirls of silver popping out from the feathers. It would make the table look all sparkly.
Hope this helps!
I love your theme and colors! But to be honest, I think you’ll have problems combining feathers and hurricane vases. I’m another big fan of google images, and what you see when you google it is these very top heavy centerpieces, which are the exact opposite of what is recommended. People can’t see over them to talk to each other.
I did see some nice gorgeous ones on this page. They’re high, but not top heavy. However, they may not help much, because they have neither feathers nor hurricane vases
Still, it might inspire something:

-hurricane vase filled with silver rocks, white and black feathers sticking out from top (add some flowers in your colors for a fuller look)
-surround the hurricane vase (with a pillar candle) with a white feathered wreath (http://qwickstep.com/search/feather-centerpieces.html)
