Attach feathers to shoes?
Attach feathers to shoes?
I have a pair of Pedro Garcia Michelle pumps; if you Google “Pedro Garcia Michelle” and look at the image results they’re the peep toe heels covered in green pheasant feathers. I’m getting married in November and my maid of honor wants to wear them for the wedding. Only problem is, I only have one pair and even if I found them they would be way out of her price range…it wouldn’t be fair either to ask her to buy them just for my wedding.
Anyway, what would be the best way to attach pheasant feathers to a pair of shoes so I can try and replicate a pair for her? Thanks!

A good quality spray on craft glue will do the trick. It will be a messy job and very time consuming as you will have to allow each layer to set before continuing on to the next. Make sure the shoe base is not too shiny or the glue won’t hold – sometimes I find it is best to slightly scuff the leather with light sand paper before starting the job. Don’t spray the whole shoe with the glue, only the part you want to place each feather one at a time.
you could try silicone glue but not the glue from the d.i.y stores, go to your local craft shop where you would buy card and rubber stamps and ask for silicone glue this is a strong glue it has been tested out on many things including a shower screen door with great results this is the best thing to use. hope this helps!
