Coral or Jade colored flowers?

My parents 35th wedding anniversary is coming up in August. We are having a small dinner for them since we had a huge party on their 25th and they asked us not to have a party this year.

Even though it’s just a small, family dinner … I am trying to do all the little details that go along with the traditional and modern 35th anniversary customs. Since the 35th anniversary doesn’t have a flower associated with it … I thought I would do floral arrangements in coral and jade. Coral is the traditional gift … and jade is the more modern gift for the 35th anniversary. I thought I could incorporate that into the flowers instead. However, Im having a hard time finding flowers that are coral or jade!! Any ideas????? Thanks!

  1. The coral part is relatively easy–there are lovely roses of this hue, and
Bird of Paradise (Strelitsia) flowers and leaves are wonderful for
flower arrangements, standing up to the heat, Nasturtiums too.

As for the jade colour you could find green-coloured Cymbidium
Orchid sprays, which would go well with the Strelitsias. Various
greenery to fill in and accent the flowers would add to the jade theme.

The effect could be quite exotic.

Happy 35th Anniversary to your parents!
