Don’t you think a woman should buy a wedding ring for her husband to be?And not the man buying both rings?

since the ring is supposed to be a symbol/token of her love for him. Why should the man buy or pay for both rings?
I think the woman should buy/pay for her ring for him and the man buys/pays for his ring for the woman.
