How are you supposed to wear your engagement ring and wedding ring?

I sort of thought that you were supposed to wear your engagement ring with your wedding ring on second, but apparently it doesn’t matter at all? As long as they’re on your ring finger on your left hand it’s fine. Or is there a specific rule?

    No, there isn’t a specific rule as to how to wear them.
    As you said on the “ring finger” of your left hand. The engagement ring is traditionally the “flashy diamond” and the wedding ring is the “band”, but other than that you can wear whichever first or last.

    If they’re fused together – the engagement ring should be worn closest to your hand, with wedding band on the outside (away from the hand.) After you’re married, it reverses – with your wedding band closest to your heart & the engement farthest away from your heart…..In Europe & many other countries, wedding bands are worn on the right hand.

    Most women I know, including myself, wear the engagement ring on top of the wedding band. This is an older tradition and stems from “the wedding band should be worn closest to the heart.” However, some women do choose the opposite. It’s really a matter of personal choice.

    I always thought you were supposed to to take your engagement ring off on the day of your wedding and put it on the other hand then your wedding ring goes on and then you put your engagement ring back on,that is what I did but I wear them the other way round now just because I find it more comfortable.
    To be honest I don’t think it does matter its just your preference.

    The engagement ring is suppose to hold the wedding band on. So the wedding band goes on first, then the engagement ring.

    wear them the way u want i have my engagement ring on first then the wedding band i like it better that way people can see my wedding band and see that i am married

    there isn’t really a rule however how I would wear them would be my engagment ring would be closet to the hand and then my ring would be closest to my finger nails

    They are to be worn on your left hand ring finger and the wedding band goes on first because it is closer to the heart and then your engagement ring.

    you technically supposed to wear the wedding ban first than the engagement ring. The reason is that the wedding ban is closer to the heart that way.
