Wow, thanks for this, i enjoyed reading your survey. Im not married as yet but reading something like this before hand helps to put things into perspective for my own wedding. I laughed reading your answer to ‘would you do anything differently?’. Lol. I dont want to feel that way after our wedding so Im going to try my best to have everything; dare I say it, perfect!! Lol. It is exciting planning your wedding. Im a year out from it happening and Im already stressing. The amount of money involved is extremely overwhelming. My partners family are flying to NZ from the States and are staying for approximatley 2-3 weeks. We live in an apartment and Im like damn, we have to hire a home for 3 weeks to sleep everyone. Lol!! I admire you for keeping the cost of your wedding to a modest budget of $ 4,7000. Im hoping to do the same!! Im getting really excited just talking about it!! Lol!! Thanks for this! If I did, though, I have something really special I’ve imagined. I don’t want to say WHAT happens at the end of the movie, but the end of the Runaway Bride is just how I want it.
Regarding taking your husband’s last name: What bothers me is that society EXPECTS a woman to give up her own name. It should be a choice.
If I had a cool last name- like Garcia (I LOVE that last name)- and I got married… there would be no way in hell I’d take my husband’s last name!!
I absolutely HATE my surname. I love my father and he has done a lot of stuff to try to make it up to me, but it’s just a horrible ugly last name. I would be tickled pink if I married someone named Garcia or López. I know they’re common in Spanish speaking countries, but I don’t care… I LOVE those surnames!!!!
If I marry a guy whose last name is Fartbomb, I’m not taking his last name either.
