is it weird that I don’t wear a wedding ring?

When we got married we didn’t have a whole lot of money, my husband got my rings at Walmart’s fine jewelry counter. They were pretty, but about a year later, the diamond came out and I couldn’t find it. Plus the ring is white gold, which I found out breaks me out something fierce. I would love a beautiful wedding set, but we just can’t afford it right now. My husband wears his gold band, but I don’t have a ring, and sometimes I feel bad about it, but then I know that we don’t have the money for a ring for me. A friend of mine says that’s just so weird that I don’t wear a ring, that she would never be married and not wear a ring. I don’t want a cheapo ring again and would rather wait until we can afford what I want. So should I just try to buy a cheap ring again and risk losing the diamond again, or wait? How many of you married women don’t have a ring?
I didn’t mean to sound petty when I made the comment of the cheapo ring, I LOVED my ring, and I love my husband very very much. it’s just sometimes I feel bad for not having a ring.
