Opinion on an ivory or off-white wedding dress?

My fiancee was shopping for a wedding dress yesterday and found one she liked. It is apparently ivory and not pure white. I thought this seemed a bit odd, but she really likes it and said that it looks better on her pale skin.

This is not her second marriage or anything like that. I don’t want people to be talking about it at our wedding. She asked me if she should just go with pure white instead. Opinions?
