Opinions and ideas for sunflower wedding?
The ceremony is outside.. reception is inside.
My 5 girls are in a yellow dress with black sash holding white roses.
The 5 guys are black suits with yellow ties.
I’m going to have a small centerpiece with sunflowers.
Sunflower seeds in little bowls for people to snack on at the tables.
Opinions? Ideas?
I’m trying to think of other good/creative ideas and unique inexpensive favors, cake ideas, etc. I don’t want it to be too ‘country’ though. Also ideas on how to have a really fun wedding.. I just went to one and it was EXTREMELY boring. Thanks for all the help!!

I think the key to a great wedding is the entertainment. I’ve been to weddings where I wanted to sleep at the table and others where the band or dj had the crowd on their feet dancing the whole time. Ask around for recommendations on djs- they can make or break a reception.

For good creative ideas, I’d check out some craft stores.. They’ll have plenty of crafty/fun cheap things you can design for the favors, cake ideas, etc. Maybe have a friend go with you so you can have a second opinion on what you decide to do with those things.
Like the other person said, i totally feel that entertainment is a major thing! People need to have fun & then they’ll enjoy themselves..And it’ll make it hard for them to ever forget your special day. :] Ive had my share of going to boring weddings..It was simply awful lol.. Google dj’s in your area, or just ask around. That sort of thing is usually word of mouth. congrats on your engagement & best of luck w/everything! :]

I love how sunflowers look, and I think that your wedding will be beautiful.
I would recommend a white square cake with 3-4 tiers, maybe with dark brown piping on it. And you could have fake sunflowers on a couple corners of the tiers. I think that’d be very pretty.
sunflower wedding theme is a great idea. during the 1800′s flowers were given special meanings and were chosen to communicate those meanings. the sunflower’s meaning is “gifts of radiant warmth”. what could be more perfect a meaning for a wedding?
some sunflower ideas include using a large live sunflower for a ring bearer’s pillow….you attach the rings to it with pearl headed stick pins available from your local craft store.
for party favors, you can order chocolate covered sunflower seeds in clear plastic cylanders with your names and wedding date on them or commission your bakery to make sugar cookies with a bumble bee or sunflower design and your names and date to give your guest as favors.

have movable music, the cake could be white with green shading(doesnt matter how tall) with sunflowers(coud be icing flowers or fake flower) coming off of it. also you could do sunflower petals instead of rose petals, wedding favor ideas::::::for kids do candies in little mesh bags with a fake sunflower pinned or glued on it::::::::for women and men do little fragrance things in little mesh bags the same way or do little sunflower shaped candles or black and yellow candles…think about it
Packets of sunflower seeds (to grow your own) is nice if your wedding is around the time they should be planted.
It is all about the music. Get a good DJ. Mix it up with oldies and current songs. The older guests will tend not to dance to some newer music, but both young and old seem to enjoy good oldies.
Also, allow yourself to have fun. The best weddings I attended are the ones when the bride and groom were having a great time mixing with all their guests.
One last thing, room to move. At a friend’s wedding her venue was too small for the number of guests. We were packed in long tables. If you wanted to get up, too many other people had to get up to let you pass. Most of the guests tended to just stay put. Not fun at all.
I’ve seen these little seed disks for favors. They are flat disks (they come in different shapes) that after they’re buried, grow wildflowers. They usually come on a card that can be personalized with your name or a little poem or something. I’ve always thought they were so neat.
