Pay Homeowner’s insurance back for stolen property?

My house was broken into in June. Several things were stolen, including my wedding ring (I am now divorced.) The police recently recovered my wedding ring from a pawn shop and told me that I can claim it from them. Do I need to claim it from them? Do I need to pay the insurance company back the money they gave me for the ring?

At this point, I have no use for the wedding ring and spent the money I received for it long ago.

I live in Minneapolis, MN. I have not been able to find anything on the county website for this.
