prom dress questions?

okay. so my prom is about 3 months away, but i’ve been told it’s better to start looking for dresses early so you can get a better deal. i’ve found one that i’m totally in love with, but i’m not sure i wanna get something that crazy expensive for my junior prom… no matter how gorgeous it is. i’d only wear it once or twice, right? plus, i’m very petite- only about 5 ft, so i would have to pay extra to have it shortened. is it even possible to shorten a really full ball gown like this?

so, i found a second dress that i can totally see myself in that is a lot more affordable and that i’d definitely be able to wear again… but is it weird to wear a short dress to prom? don’t most people wear long dresses? is it formal enough? any feedback on these two dresses would be much appreciated!

    HI! I am a junior too who is going to prom with a short dress and it really doesn’t matter. its our junior year we still have another year to find and wear a long dress for our senior year .. so go for the short one its cute and the important think is that you feel comfy in it.

    Even though the first dress is absolutely GORGEOUS, I feel like it’s too extravagant for prom and it’s not worth it if you’re not going to be able to wear it to many places. The second one is really pretty and I think you should get it.
