Two Tone Bridesmaid dresses…?

So my sister is getting married and while she is planning the whole thing, she also has easily overwhelmed response to certain wedding detail quesitons one being two-tone bridesmaid dresses. There are 7 of us girls in the bridal party and with the main color being a blue color… she likes the two tone idea for those of us who find dresses like that. I asked her what she would like as the second color suggesting that all the 2 tone people pick the same second tone to it coordinates better but she says it doesn’t matter.

I want to totally go with it and not worry about it… but I’m worried (because my sister tends to just say, “yeah yeah yeah” not really thinking of the outcome when she’s stressed) that once the dresses are in and the 2nd tones are all different colors she’ll freak!

So have any of you been in or been to weddings where dresses are 2 tones but not the same? Does it look okay? or should we really try to stick to getting the same second color?

  1. I think that it would look fine as long as there is a nice balance of color. When I went to a wedding the maid of honor had a dark blue dress and I had a white dress but I had a dark blue flower on my white dress and we looked fine together.

  2. it shouldn’t be a big deal actually its very modern to do different braidmaid’s colors.
